Meet our Staff


Meet Julie!

 She began working for a local gym in the Frankfort area in the early 1990's where she realized how empowering working out can be, both physically and mentally. She went on to compete in body building shows across the state as a light weight competitor where she took first place in the light weight division of the KY Championships in 1998. Julie's love for exercise and fitness motivated her to become certified with the American Council on Exercise as a personal trainer in 1998 also. Pursuing her passion,she partnered in designing and opening a local gym in 1999 where she was a full time personal trainer until 2005.

During those seven years of ownership, she also married and started a family in her hometown. During the birth of her second child in 2005, Julie decided that the demanding schedule of owning, operating, and training at the gym were just too much, so she decided to sell her shares so that she could spend more time with her family and persue a new career in Real Estate. During the past four years, Julie has refocused on being committed to helping others reach ther fitness goals and is currently a Trainer for Frankfort Country Club and the Frankfort Regional Hospital.

She is ready to help others enjoy health and fitness while reaching their goals.


 

Meet Thelma!

After the birth of her son and a serious surgery, Thelma knew that she had to lose weight and get back in shape. The former high school and college track runner was used to having definition to her muscles and body and wanted to get it back in that condition. So she joined a local gym and was approached the gym’s owner telling her that she had the physique to be a body builder. The gym’s owner worked with Thelma and wrote out a workout and diet regiment that she followed strictly. Within seven months, Thelma entered her first body building competition for the Ms. Kentucky Bodybuilding championships in Louisville, KY. After taking home three overall titles for consecutive years and three national titles for the National Physique Competition, Thelma was hooked! She worked extremely hard and put on 10 pounds of muscle by lifting weights and following a proper diet. 

 Growing up on a farm in Hardin County and coming from a family of twelve, Thelma had never dreamed that this could be her! Now Thelma maintains her physique by rollerblading from Spring through Fall and stays very active and fitness and health conscience. She believes that a defined, chiseled body is a beautiful thing! She is currently employed with the Department of Education, but has worked for other state agencies, including the Governor’s Office during her 24 year tenure with Kentucky State Government. She has one son, and two step-daughters and we are so excited to have her as a part of the Julie’s Boot Camp and Weight Loss Team! She is going to be a valuable asset to helping our clients maintain their health and fitness goals!


 

Meet Mike!

A current employee of the Frankfort Police Department and a resident of Frankfort, Mike is joining the Julie’s Boot Camp team with a strong background in athletics and bodybuilding. Over the years Mike has challenged himself by competing in various organized sports that include basketball, softball, and track & field. He has competed in multiple bodybuilding competitions throughout the state where he placed 3rd in the Kentucky Muscle and Novice Division and also placed 4the in the Open Division. Mike is also a former semi-pro football player where he was selected as an All-Star in 2009 with the Alliance Football League.

Mike is great at providing a mix of proven techniques with creative new approaches for his clients, who have all seen measurable results in their workout and training programs. He works with any age group and any fitness level! He believes that with the right commitment and guidance that anyone can greatly improve their health and fitness.
